Memorandum - Law Council Cyber Precedent Website

Memorandum - Law Council Cyber Precedent Website

By Technology and Innovation Section

The LIV has written to the Law Council of Australia recommending revisions to the Cyber Precedent Website.
The recommended revisions include:
  • focusing on cyber threats which target specific areas of legal practice;
  • providing information about cyber-security services which protect legal firms from cyberattacks;
  • updating online media content with bite-sized and relevant information delivered through visual content; that is, infographics or animated and informative short videos;
  • enabling users to be re-directed to external websites which provide resources that support secure cyber-security practices and policies; and
  • outlining the relevant national and state legislation for lawyers.
