The LIV provides in-principle support to the Sex Discrimination & Fair Work (Respect at Work) Amendment Bill, and provides further considerations.

The Law Institute of Victoria has responded to a memorandum from the Law Council of Australia (LCA) dated 25 June 2021, in which the LCA seeks feedback on the Federal Government’s Sex Discrimination and Fair Work (Respect at Work) Amendment Bill 2021 (Respect at Work Bill).

The LIV's submission considers specific recommendations from the Respect@Work report, and whether the Law Council's proposed amendments are effective in addressing existing gaps in federal legislation relevant to sexual harassment.
