A combined submission on behalf of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, Law Institute of Victoria and Law Firms Australia has provided feedback on the ATO's guideance 'Assessing the risk: allocation of profits within professional firms'.
The Professional Firms Working Group provided specific commentary on the draft 'gateway content' in various respects - the definition of 'professionals', the commercial rationale behind the draft content, and a seeking of clarification on the 'high risk factors' raised in the scenarios provided.
