Tax Deductible Gift Recipient Reform Opportunities

Tax Deductible Gift Recipient Reform Opportunities

By Commercial Law Section

Advocacy Environmental Protection

The Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) provided a detailed response to the reform opportunities put forth by Treasury in their recent Discussion Paper concerning Tax Deductible Gift Recipients. The LIV noted, in particular, the importance of retaining the autonomy of DGR organisations and the risk of negative flow on effects that may occur where regulatory pressures increase.

This submission was drafted by members of the LIV’s Not-for-profits & Charities Committee, and reviewed by members of the Tax & Revenue Committee, Sports Law Committee and Environmental Issues Committee.
