LIV recommends changes to registration processes to ensure migration agents are suitably qualified

In a memo to the Law Council of Australia (LCA), the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) has recommended that changes be made to the current regulation process to ensure that migration agents are suitably qualified and have the requisite necessary experience.

In addition to additional registration changes, the LIV's memo welcomes the introduction of the Graduate Diploma in Migration Law and the mandatory Capstone Exam as requirements for all new applications seeking initial registration as migration agents.
