Legal Services

Google is a great search tool for a quick book title, but it’s the wrong place to look if you want fast and accurate legal research. The substantial number of websites and resources available makes it difficult to find what you need, and has even led to lawyers unknowingly bringing the wrong version of a case to court.

Effective and efficient research requires access to a variety of law texts, databases, loose-leaf services, journal articles and various other documents – not to mention hours of time to pore over the reading material to achieve the best outcome for your client.

For lawyers, barristers and legal support staff, research can be a daunting and time-consuming task. Engaging professional research services can make all the difference in a case, and these services entail far more than just document sourcing. Expert legal research services benefit:

  • Sole practitioners wanting to answer a question that came out of a client interview;
  • Barristers wanting to pinpoint exact research for a particular argument; and,
  • Everyone working or studying in law who wants to ensure they have the correct legislation, information about court procedures and authorised versions of cases to bring before the court.

As a member of the LIV, you pay a reduced fee of only $150 for legal research services from our expert research librarians, which includes all documentation. All research is done within a 24-hour timeframe.

Find out more or request research for your next case by visiting the LIV Library webpage.
