Locum Guide for

Listing as a locum

The Resume Bank allows locums to load anonymous locum resumes so that employers can search for the skills and experience they are looking for.  Employers will approach you via email with an outline of the role. Only when you agree to the approach will your contact details be shared. If you reject or ignore the approach your details are kept hidden.

As it is an anonymous Resume Bank so be sure to remove personal information as prompted.

To load your resume simply select Manage Resumes from the Job Seeker link.

You will need to ensure that the term “locum” is used multiple times within your resume so that your resume will be returned highest when employers search for the term “locum”.

Those seeking a locum can also refine their search criteria. To ensure that you can be found, it is recommended that your resume include the area(s) of law in which you have experience along with the number of years of experience you have, eg <1 year, 1-3 years, 3-5 years, 5-10 years and 10+ years.

Finding a locum

Locums can be found on the LIV Jobs Portal on the anonymous Resume Bank on the Legal Careers job board.

If you are looking for a locum simply create an account and search on the term “locum” in the Resume Bank.

There is a one-time validation of your account required before you can approach locums. To validate your account simply send a request for validation from your work email address to

You will be asked to pay $35+ GST for each locum you approach but you will only be charged when the locum agrees to your advance and provides their contact details. You will be refunded should the locum reject your request or not reply within 30 days.
