Legal Services Council Costs Precedents

The following costs precedents are available to all practitioners, through the Legal Services Council:

• Standard short for costs disclosure form (can be used where legal costs are not likely to exceed $3000 (excluding GST and disbursements. When the link opens, click on "For law practices (other than barristers)", and a Word document will open)
• Information sheet for legal practitioners – Costs disclosure form (PDF)
• Information sheet for consumers – Costs disclosure form (PDF) (The Legal Services Council recommends that this information sheet be provided together with the uniform standard costs disclosure form).

LIV Australian Legal Practitioner Certificates and Forms

Rule 11 of the Legal Profession Uniform Legal Practice (Solicitors) Rules 2015 requires use of various forms referred to in that rule when Australian legal practitioners explain security documents to borrowers and guarantors, as follows:
